If you live in Philadelphia, you are very familiar with Anthony Clark. For those just hearing this name for the first time, let me fill you in. Clark serves as one of our City Commissioners, charged with ensuring the integrity of our voting system in Philadelphia. During elections, every voting machine, precinct placement, literature concerning where to vote, and the ads that give polling locations, fall under his office. His duties also include setting up workshops teaching others how to vote using the machines. All of this isn’t an issue.  The issue is the fact that Clark doesn’t show up for work! He is often no where to be found, does not use email, and has not voted in over 4 years! Imagine that. The guy who leads the office to ensure integrity in voting…DOESNT VOTE.

However, even that is not my issue today. See, I know what Anthony Clark has done. I KNOW his actions have been out of pocket. But I have serious issues when a white congressman goes on record and says that a grown black man told him that he was going to be a “good boy”. That’s just a bit extra. In fact in today’s climate, that is struggling with being political correct, and sensitive to cultural demands, it is beyond me how anyone could call a person of another race…a “boy”. Especially when someone has years of experience in the media…one has to wonder quite frankly, if this statement was deliberate.

Judge for yourselves.

“He said, ‘I’m going to show up, I’m going to be a good boy’ – same thing he said last night. I don’t believe him,” Brady said.
